Swatches: Duri Cosmetics Summer Collection
Finally I got around to doing these swatches for the new Duri collection. I have literally was wearing Cloud True Blue on one hand for about a week, no topper. Smh. The polishes are from Duri's Once Upon A Dream collection.
Cloud True Blue is a creme baby blue or it could pass as a powder blue. I got a ton of compliments on this polish. I swatched one hand and wore it for about a week, until today, with no top coat and it wore very well. It went on nice, no problems with application.
Pie In The Sky Green is a mint green. Mint is a very hot color right now. It photographed a little blue in this picture, but I assure you it is green. I am not a mint person, so this was not a fav of mine. Again nice application.
Pillow Pink is a creme baby pink. The color is nice. I'm not a fan of it against my skin tone. I didn't love this one because of the application. For me it kind of globed on. Even wiping off the brush, the polish went on heavy. As you can see it almost looks chalky.
Sleeping Beauty Indigo. In the photo it looks like a periwinkle, in the bottle it looks like a lavender. I can almost vibe this color. Almost. I am on the fence about it against my skin tone. Application wise, was good. Went on well. I had no issues with the application.
Soft Slumber Blush. This is a creme pink. Maybe a milky pink. Again the color was fine, a little to bright for me personally. Again the application was not good for me. Looks very thick in some spots.
Last is Lilac Dream. This is a very light purple, it could almost past for pink. It is pretty in the bottle, application with this one was not great for me. As you can see it got runny in some areas.
Overall, this collection was not amazing for me. I normally have nothing bad to say about Duri. I've never been disappointed with their polishes. With this collection the formula was a hit or miss. It was mainly an issue with the pinks or lighter colors. I think the colors are more spring then summer, only because they remind me of Easter.
These polishes along with over 200 other colors can be purchased at professional nail salons, spas and beauty retail stores as well as online at www.duri.com. They are very affordable at only $6 a bottle.
With the exception of the first two polishes, each swatch is two coats. All swatches are topped with Out The Door Fast Drying Top Coat. All photos were taken outdoors.
