Swatches: Hard Candy
This is the first time that I have ever used nail polish from Hard Candy.
Let me apologized in advance for my nails, I broke two of them this
morning at work. I was so mad, cause I was waiting until this weekend to
do these swatches, but since my first two nails are nubs there was no
longer a need to wait. So check out my swatches....
All the swatches are 2 coats and are topped with Out The Door Fast Drying Top Coat.
Mermaid Magic is a blue/green glitter with purple hexagon glitters. It is part of the Glitteratzi collection. This is my favorite I have to say. The color is is awesome and two coats is enough for full coverage.
Little Bo Pink is a shimmer pink. Actually it looks more coral to me. It is from the Itsy Glitzy
collection. This went on ok. I am not sure how I feel about this one.
It got kind of thick as it was drying, so when I went to put on my tc it
was move the polish around. This one the only one that did this.
Cotton Candy Pink is a milky pink with small blue, white and silver circle glitters. It is from the Candy Sprinkles
collection. I did not think I would like this one as much as I did just
based on the other swatches I've seen, but I really like this one. It
is a lot for me on all five fingers, but I would def wear it as an
accent nail. I love that it's not a hit or miss with the glitters, you
will get glitters everytime. It def makes me think of icing with candy
sprinkles on top.
Crush On Ivy is a shimmer green. It is from the Crushed Chromes
collection. I'm not to sure how I feel about this one either. Maybe
because I am not a green person, however I do get ivy when seeing this
color. It went on very well and was very easy to work with.
Last but not least is Fireworks. It is from the Crystal Confetti collection.
The name def suits the polish, it is an explosion of glitters in this
bottle. It is red micro glitters, bar glitters and hexagon glitters
along with a blue/grey hex glitter. Personally for me it was bit much
and I am not a fan of bar glitter it just gets a little messy for me to
work with. However this is a pretty polish, true glitter girls will love
it.
Overall
I thought the polishes were ok. Def not a bad deal for $3.97. The
glitters and sprinkles pack a whole lot in the 0.26 fl oz bottles. Two
coats def did the trick. There are others that I wouldn't mind trying
out, probably from the Crushed Chrome collection. Check out the press release for more of the new collections that should be on stands in Walmart right now.
*polishes were provided to me in exchange for my honest opinion.*
